About Dr. Capuano

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University, Dr. Capuano went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) at New York University College of Dentistry. During his time at NYU, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and honored with both the Dean’s Fellowship Research Award and the Dean’s Academic Merit Scholarship.

Dr. Capuano completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Nassau County Medical Center and is a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, recently re-certified. His expertise spans the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Capuano serves as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Charles Hospital and is a member of the Milton Turk Cleft Palate Center. He has also held leadership roles as past president of the Northern Brookhaven Dental Society and the Medical Staff at St. Charles Hospital.

Committed to patient safety and advanced care, he maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and is a certified CPR instructor.

Residing in Head of the Harbor, NY, Dr. Capuano enjoys weightlifting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends in his free time.
