About Dr. Sastow

Dr. Tal Sastow is a native of Long Island, New York. He received his Biology degree from Binghamton University, followed by an Executive Master’s degree in Health Systems Engineering through Binghamton University’s Manhattan program. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Following dental school, Dr. Sastow completed a one-year intensive internship at the University of Maryland Medical Center, with a focus on complex maxillofacial trauma and head and neck cancer surgery. He subsequently completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Brooklyn Hospital Center.

Dr. Sastow’s clinical interests include wisdom tooth removal, IV sedation, dental implant surgery including conventional, full mouth, All-on-X, IPS, and zygomatic implants, as well as bone grafting and PRF procedures. He is also trained in the use of Botox for myofascial and temporomandibular joint-related pain. His approach to care is grounded in current, evidence-based principles in dentistry and medicine.

Dr. Sastow places a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care and strives to ensure that every patient feels safe, comfortable, and at ease throughout treatment. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and provide individualized care.

Dr. Sastow is board eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the New York State Dental Association. He is certified in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.

Dr. Sastow has a strong interest in academic writing and research and has published numerous journal articles and textbook chapters.

Outside of his professional career, Dr. Sastow enjoys traveling throughout the Mediterranean with his wife, playing tennis, photography, and music.
