About Dr. Popper
Dr. Jacob Ezra Popper, a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, was born and raised in Pennsylvania and received his B.S. degree from Queens College, graduating summa cum laude. He then attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he received a four-year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Following graduation, Dr. Popper was accepted into an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. To achieve the highest qualifications in the field, he also attended medical school concurrently, earning his Medical Degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School. As chief resident on the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service, he was responsible for teaching and guiding junior residents at Kings County Hospital Center, a major Level 1 Trauma Center.
Dr. Popper is experienced in dental implant placement, dentoalveolar surgery, corrective jaw surgery, pathology, facial reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, and wisdom teeth removal. He maintains privileges at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and has extensive training and experience in providing safe and comfortable IV sedation for both adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Popper is a compassionate and dedicated surgeon committed to delivering the highest level of care and achieving a positive, stress-free experience for all his patients. When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling, and staying active by running.
